Configuring ip6 in gphoto tool

It takes 2 steps to configure IPv6 in the gphoto tool as follows

  • Step 1: Retrieve ipv6 of vps installed tool
  • Step 2: Put IPv6 in the tool configuration file and delete the cache

Details as below

Step 1: Retrieve ipv6 of vps installed tool

To get the ipv6 of vps, type the command below

ifconfig

Ipv6 will be in the same row as the line with the word “Scope: Global”, as the figure on ipv6 will be 2a01: 4f8: c2c: 3498 :: 1

Step 2: Put IPv6 in the tool configuration file and delete the cache

The file config of gphoto tool is located in /root/gphoto/gphoto.config.json, open that file, we will see there is a line with the word “ipv6”, fill in ipv6 in step 1, the result is as shown below

Save the config file and run the following command to delete cache and restart tool gphoto

cd /root/gphoto
./kill-tool.sh
echo "flushall" | redis-cli
./run.sh
cd /root

The result is ipv6 in the url as shown below
